Neighbourhood Watch

Help Us Protect The Beeches

Neighbourhood Watch is one of the biggest and most successful crime prevention initiatives ever invented. Behind it lies a central value shared by millions of people around the country: getting together with your neighbours to reduce local crime and disorder, to make our neighbours a better place to live, work and play.

  • Cut crime and opportunities for crime
  • Help and reassure those who live in fear of crime
  • Encourage neighbourliness and closer communities

The BRA Community Watch Co-ordinator is elected annually at the Annual General Meeting of residents held each Spring. Your current co-ordinator is Ron Simpson. Ron can supply you with a variety of introductory literature and security items as well as access to the Severn Trent Water password scheme.

In the interest of the community, the BRA participates in Neighbourhood Watch at a county and regional level. View the national Neighbourhood Watch site at www.ourwatch.org.uk.

The Beeches is fortunate to be served by a very supportive local policing team and the BRA maintains a regular  dialogue with the team members. Contact details are displayed on the Community Noticeboard and on the local policing web link on the homepage of uppinghamfirst.co.uk.

Our local partnership of police offices, police volunteers and Neighbourhood Watch volunteers help to make the Beeches one of the most secure locations in Uppingham, but it only works with support. Please join now to help make the Beeches a safer place.  Contact Ron Simpson using the contact details provided on Page 2 to get involved.
